We are Brenger; a clean-tech startup building a sustainable transportation platform that solves the inefficient way of transporting bulky goods by optimizing the utilization of every van on the road which reduces the CO2 emission along the way. We started our adventure back in 2016 in Amsterdam and are rapidly growing in the Benelux and we are about to scale our services throughout Europe! To accelerate our expansion plans we are looking for an ambitious and hands-on International Expansion Manager to be our driving force behind Brenger mission and our presence in Europe. Ready to become Brenger's international face and voice? Your mission

In this stand-alone position you will be responsible for executing the strategy for scaling Brenger in several countries at the same time. You will explore different markets and perform a diversity of tasks to expand Brenger’s presence through operations, partnerships, UX, customer feedback and courier supply management. As this role is key to our growth agenda you will be working closely with the founders Derk and Wisse to define further strategy and processes around expansion. In the future you will get the opportunity to grow from an Expansion Manager to a Country Manager with your own local team.

Key tasks & responsibilities

Set-up our services in different markets from scratch:

  • Business Development Analyst
    - Research markets and define market dynamics and regions to test
    - Exploring new market opportunities and partners
    - Analyse, evaluate and optimize running pilots 

  • Marketing
    - Coordinate and test marketing campaigns for consumers and couriers
    - Improve our UX by learning from our customers and couriers with the help of our international Operations Support

  • Operations:
    - Define our operations for the pilots
    - Coordination of end-to-end-processes to ensure smooth expansion across Germany
    - Courier Supply Management: creating an optimal online distribution of couriers

  • Stakeholder management: key collaborator with internal and external stakeholders to make sure the ambitious growth plans for the heart of our business can be rolled out successfully


  • At least 5 years proven experience in a similar role or strategy consulting or business development management position within a fast-growing international startup or scale-up environment

  • Preferably having worked in one of the following industries; tech, marketplaces, transport/delivery or retail.

  • Native Dutch speaker, fluent in English. Other languages are definitely a plus for this role :)

  • Your strategic thinking, analysis and coordination is as sharp as your executional power

  • Willing to roll up your sleeves when needed and being a pragmatic problem solver

  • Willingness to travel in Europe
